Canada Organic Regime
QCS offers certification to the Canada Organic Regime (COR) for processing and aquaculture scopes. Products certified to the COR
regulations must meet the Canadian Organic Standards. QCS is able to offer COR certification in Canada and countries not
covered by a COR organic equivalency arrangement.

Under the Safe Food for Canadians Regulations, any food, seed, or animal feed labeled organic must be certified according to the Canadian Organic Standards and is regulated by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA).
QCS proudly offers certification to the Canada Organic Regime (COR).

- View our “Are You Ready for Inspection?” information sheet.

QCS also offers certification under the USCOEA, which recognizes the USDA National Organic Program (NOP) and COR standards as equivalent, with minor critical variances. If your operation is certified to the NOP, you can obtain a US-Canadian equivalency – for products that meet the terms of the arrangement – regardless of the location of your operation.
This arrangement allows:
- NOP-certified operations to export products to Canada as organic
- COR-certified operations to export products to the United States as organic
