GLOBAL G.A.P.

Supermarkets, retailers, food service business and consumers everywhere are looking for food that is produced responsibly in ecologically sound conditions. This worldwide accepted certification enables producers and brand owners to provide consumers with assurance of the safe production and traceable marketing of food while protecting scarce resources. Individual producers or producer groups may be certified. QCS offers many core and add-on solutions for GLOBAL G.A.P.

We also offer GLOBAL G.A.P certification through our offices in Ecuador and Dominican Republic

GLOBAL G.A.P. Core Solutions

Integrated Farm Assurance (IFA) – Fruit and Vegetables

This standard covers all stages of production, from pre-harvest activities to post-harvest produce handling, packing and storing. It acts as a practical manual with a holistic approach including food safety, environmental, traceability and workers welfare compliance requirements.

Chain of Custody (CoC)

This certification helps ensure any product sold with a GLOBALG.A.P. claim or bearing a GGN label logo is truly sourced from a GLOBALG.A.P. certified production process.

Harmonized Produce Safety Standard (HPSS)
Designed for fruit and vegetable producers in the US or selling into the US market. It covers all stages of production, from pre-harvest activities such as soil management and plant protection product application to post-harvest produce handling, packing and storing. This standard only focuses on food safety and traceability elements.

GLOBAL G.A.P. Add-On Solutions

GLOBALGAP Risk Assessment on Social Practice (GRASP)

Good agricultural practices aren’t just about products; they are also about people.  GRASP is a voluntary, farm-level social/labor management tool for global supply chains, to be used in combination with Integrated Farm Assurance (IFA).

Food Safety Modernization Act Produce Safety Rule (FSMA PSR)

The Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) Produce Safety Rule (PSR) add-on aims to address the specific requirements of the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the production, handling, and storage of fruit and vegetable products. It is applicable globally for producers exporting to the US market and has been officially recognized by the FDA.

TropicalRace 4 (TR4)

The TR4 Biosecurity Standard outlines a risk mitigation plan for minimizing the spread of the Tropical Race 4 fungus, also known as Foc TR4 – one of the most destructive diseases in banana and plantain crops – to, within, and from farms. It is a standard designed for producers who do not have another form of GLOBALG.A.P. certification.

Albert Heijn/Delhaize Private Standard (AH-DLL GROW)

AH-DLL GROW is a private add-on to the Integrated Farm Assurance (IFA) standard for producers that supply the Dutch retailer Albert Heijn and/or the Belgian retailer Delhaize. It is focused on farm-level risk management for producers in the areas of hygiene, residue monitoring, and prevention of foreign body contamination.
